By Dave

In Today’s Struggling Economy Saving Every Little Bit of Your Income is Extremely Important and Easy Than You Might Think. One of the easiest and most effective ways to save yourself part of your money is to DIY solar panels – Build your own solar panels at Home. By creating your own energy sources you will be able to virtually eliminate your entire electricity bills.

To begin you will need to either create or purchase a small solar panel that is a minimum of 12 volts. You can find these solar panels at your local marina or RV store. It is known that you can find practically new solar panels for under $100. This is a small price to pay if you plan on eliminating your electricity bill which can soar to $200-500 per month if you and your family rely on electronics.

Secondly you will need to find a battery. For this the size of the battery does not really make a significant difference as long as it is rechargeable. It is recommended to use a 12 volt lead or acid battery that is labeled a “deep cell battery”. Deep cell batteries are known for their reliable and continuous use of electricity.

After you have your solar panel and battery you will need to purchase a battery box. This will be used as a safety precaution which is highly recommended if you are working in a smaller area or around children.

To measure and match the output of your battery you will need a DC meter which can be purchased at your local hardware store. This will give you the option to convert your solar panel energy and apply them to various sources of power around your house such as television, computer, and refrigerator.

You may have to get your hands dirty in this next section as it will require you to physically attach the DC meter and DX input onto the top of your battery box you have purchased. After you have drilled them onto your box, you will need to connect the meter by attaching insulated wire onto both of them.

Once you have completed the above you are now ready to start using the sun’s power for your own use.  Simply close the lid tightly and place your solar panels in location that direct sunlight will hit the most. Some prefer their roofs as a suitable platform to work with. You should start seeing results from your solar panel in 5-10 hours. Then you will be able to enjoy FREE homemade energy and forget about your costly electricity bill for good.
